Birthday Gift - Cushion

When asked what she'd like for a birthday gift my mum suggested (eventually, with some prompting) a cushion.  Great I thought, I know just what she'd like and I've got a week and it'll be a lovely simple project I can easily manage in the time scale.

I was a numpty.  Someone please remind me that embroidery always takes at least five times as long as I budget for!

 Still, when all is said and done I'm quite pleased with how it turned out!  After all the hand stitching making it into a cushion was a simple job!

I really like how this turned out, but yeah, I really need to remember I'm not as fast at hand stitching as I think!
